Foster a love of curiosity and reading in your child every week with books, songs, and rhymes for the whole family.

Registration

• Registration will be for two months at a time. This current registration period is for March and April of 2026. 
• Once you register, you are registering for all the dates in the series for the two-month period. 
• If something comes up, please call or email to let us know you can't make it (just in case there is anyone on a waitlist). Spaces are still limited in the room.
• Please register only one individual's name in the first name box. Every individual has to fill out a registration even if you are related and have the same last name. If two register on one registration by putting in two first names, it is only filling one spot and not two. 
• You can attend the online class if you can't make the in-person class. 

Reminder Notifications 

Reminder notifications are sent out 24 hours ahead of time if you are registered. An additional email reminder goes out the morning of if you are on Chryssi's Chair Yoga email list. 

Waivers 

You must complete a liability waiver once per calendar year to participate in the chair yoga class. You can do this online (with a typed e-signature) or in-person (with a written signature) at the library before you can attend class. The online waiver form can be found at:

Check-in

We will be checking people in at the door to make sure everyone is registered and has a waiver on file.

Canceled Classes

In the event that a class is canceled for any reason, students will be notified by: 

• word of mouth in a previous class 
• through email notification 
• CANCELED - Chair Yoga will be listed as the title of the class on our online events calendar 

If you do not have an email address, or have not given us one, please call the library before each class to see if we are still holding class.

Join the growing trend making yoga accessible for all. Take a moment to be present in your day by learning to center yourself with breathing. Then do some gentle stretching - all supported by sitting on a chair and holding onto a chair from the comfort of your own home.

Registration required to receive the link to this online program. This is a series registration that cover the winter and spring sessions. You only need to register once and you don't need to cancel if you can't make any particular class during the sessions. There is so much space in the online class, that we will never fill all of the spaces and canceling will cancel you for the whole series, so please don't worry about that if you are registered for the online class.

Hosted by Dr. Meg Wahlberg, Professor of Medieval Literature 

Step back in time and explore the wild, wonderous, and weird world of the Middle Ages! Whether you're a curious newcomer or a seasoned scholar, you're invited to join a relaxed, welcoming book club dedicated to reading and discussing medieval literature with modern eyes. 

We will read everything from knightly romances and saintly visions to werewolf tales, riddles, and bawdy pilgrim stories to historical fiction set in the medieval world. Each session includes brief context and guided discussion -- no prior experience with medieval texts necessary. 

What to Expect: 

• Fascinating readings in translation (no need to know Latin or Middle English)
• Informal discussion of courtly love, gender, monstrosity, religion, nature, and more 
• A supportive community of fellow book lovers 

Schedule: We meet the first Tuesday of the month at 6pm. 

• December (12/2): Sir Gawain and the Green Knight - Simon Armitage’s translation
• January (1/6): The Buried Giant - Kazuo Ishiguro
• February (2/3): The Book of the City of Ladies by Christine de Pizan – Rosalind Brown-Grant’s translation
• March (3/3): Normal Women by Phillipa Gregory
• April (4/7): Marie de France, The Lais of Marie de France – Emily Waters’s translation
• May (5/5): Matrix by Lauren Groff

Some readings will be available through a PDF and others can be found in the Bucks County Free Library system or for purchase online or in bookstores.
