The library is offering these special one-time events, and several recurring events to keep you busy all summer long.  Mark your calendars now, and be sure to register if you can as some events have limited seats available.

Insectopia – Meet the Animals!
Wednesday, June 24 @ 5:30PM
Wonder at the mighty invertebrates! Learn about 6 misunderstood animals, including fun facts about their life spans and behaviors.

Center for Aquatic Sciences – Animal Champions!
Wednesday, July 8 @ 5:30PM  
Meet animals with amazing adaptations that help them thrive in our changing world.  This presentation comes to us from the Center for Aquatic Sciences at the Adventure Aquarium, Camden NJ.

Ray Owen’s “Hats off to America!”
Friday, July 24 at 5:30PM
Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with this after-hours concert from Ray Owens!  Step through history, meet colorful characters, and take a tuneful and spirited musical adventure in American history!

Andrew’s Big Show!
Wednesday, August 5 at 5:30PM
Andrew’s family-friendly comedy, juggling, and skillful circus-trick act will amaze and entertain everyone–kids, adults, seniors, and even the surliest of teens.  This is our third time bringing the very popular Andrew to our library, and every visit is a BLAST!

Art Programs with Ms. Anita!  
Wednesdays, June 17, July 1, & July 22, and Tuesday August 11, all at 5PM
Create a fun artwork under the guidance of an experienced artist. All supplies provided, no experience necessary!

Action Karate: Super Kids summer fitness series!
Tuesdays (June 30, July 7, & July 14–register for the whole series) at 4:30PM
Be SUPER!  Develop focus, confidence, and discipline.  Learn to be bully-proof.  Start your journey by learning fun, safe martial arts moves with the guidance of a black belt.  Finish up with a belt graduation ceremony at the Action Karate Studio on Tuesday, July 21.

Book Nook: A Bring Your Own book club!
Mondays (June 22, July 6, July 20, and August 17) at 4PM
Bring a book of your own choice and talk about it with other kids, or just listen to Ms. Dawn talk about her favorite books.  Need some ideas for new reads?  Let’s find something together!  Print, audio, graphic novels … bring your favorite and share!

Silly Scissors Society returns!
Mondays, June 29, July 13, July 29, & August 3, @ 4:30PM
Express yourself this summer with the return of our Silly Scissors Society arts & crafts club.  We provide supplies and project ideas, you bring your imagination! (ages K to Teen)

Summer Cinema
Thursdays, June 25 through August 13, @ 1:30PM
Enjoy a family movie in the library on Thursday afternoons.  Bring a picnic blanket if you like!  Free popcorn provided, other snacks available for purchase.
Expected titles: The Good Dinosaur, National Treasure, An American Tail, Muppet Treasure Island, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Babe, Despicable Me, The Lego Movie.  See library calendar for details.
