At our Information Desk, you can reserve an item from a library in Bucks County Library System or outside the system (with an Interlibrary Loan) by making the request with a Reference Librarian. You can also place holds on items in the Bucks County Library System through our online catalog.
Items are due on the date printed on the receipt issued at checkout. You may check due dates online through My Account or by calling the library during business hours. Material borrowed from a public library in Bucks County may be returned to any participating public library in Bucks County. Book drop returns will be recorded as though they were returned before midnight. Most items may be renewed for one or two additional loan periods if they are not on reserve for another user.
Rokus and Hotspots must be returned to the Circulation Desk inside the building. A $5 fine will be charged for a Roku or hotspot returned in the book drop or to another library. Rokus may not be renewed; hotspots may be renewed one time.
Museum passes must be returned to our library ONLY. As of August, 2024, Museum Passes may be returned in the book drop any time of day. If a museum pass is mistakenly returned to a library other than our library, it will be considered NOT CHECKED IN and will accrue fines until it arrives at our library. Two overdue notices for late material are sent to borrowers. The first is sent 14 days after the item is due and the second is sent at 28 days. Items not returned after the second notice is sent will be considered lost and borrowing privileges are denied.
Borrowers who believe an overdue item has been returned or was never checked out should notify the library as soon as possible. Failure to receive an overdue notice is not considered grounds for waiving a fine. Library users with email accounts receive courtesy reminders three days before items are due.

Volunteering is a great way to get involved with your library and community. Even an hour a week can help.
To volunteer:
Fill out the Volunteer Application (online or in the library) and return it to Information Desk. Library volunteers must be able to commit to a regular weekly or monthly schedule – we will be depending on you! Jobs may include shelving materials, keeping shelves in order, cleaning DVDs and audiobooks, or working on special projects as needed. We might even find a place for your special talent or expertise.
Teen volunteers:
Teens, ages 12-17, wishing or needing volunteer credits should fill out the teen volunteer application or contact our Youth Services Specialist, Sam Linskey at 215.355.1183 X 103 or slinskey@buckslib.org.
Friends of the Library are Volunteers, too!
To volunteer as a Friend, simply fill out the membership form online or in the Friends of the Library brochure or join us at one of our monthly meetings. Past Friends events have been the annual book sale, pancake breakfast, the Holiday Jumble, among others.
