Museum Passes – NEW for August 2024

Introduce your family (and yourself) to art, history, nature and so much more! Museum passes are made possible through the generosity of the Friends of the Township Library of Lower Southampton.

Guidelines:

  • Museum passes are available to Bucks County Free Library cardholders who are at least 18 years of age, with accounts in good standing (no fines or overdue items). Passes cannot be reserved or checked out by patrons under the age of 18.
  • As of August 1, 2024, passes are available by reservation only. Reservations can be made using your Bucks County Free Library card number and PIN, using the link above.
  • Some passes may be printed at home, others must must be picked up and returned ONLY to the Township Library of Lower Southampton. Passes MAY be returned in the library book drop, even after hours.
  • Printable passes are for a single day, other passes are borrowed for 3 days.  Late fines are $10 per day with a maximum fine of $50.  Please be courteous and return passes on time–remember that someone may have reserved it for the day after you!
  • If the pass is lost, the patron will be charged the cost of a new pass.
  • Borrowers are responsible for calling the museum directly for hours of operation, parking, and directions. Please note that passes may not provide admission to all exhibits. The library is not responsible if a museum is unexpectedly closed or if a pass has not been returned on time.

Answers to commonly asked questions:

How far in advance can I make a reservation?
Reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance.

How long does a museum pass check out for?
Museum passes check out for 3 days except for printable passes, which can only be used for the one day on the date for which they are reserved.

Can I renew a museum pass?
No.

Where do I pick up my museum pass?
Museum passes can be picked up at the Information Desk. Staff will need to see the library card with which the reservation was made and a valid ID. (Note: Printable museum passes can be printed at home or at the Library; there is no pass to pick up or return).

How do I return the pass?
Printable one-day passes do not need to be returned.  All other passes must be returned to the Township Library of Lower Southampton.  They may be returned in the book drop, any time of day.  If one of our passes is returned to another Bucks County library by mistake, it will not get checked in properly and will accrue late fines of $10 per day.

I checked out a museum pass. Why doesn’t it show up on my library account?
Our museum passes are on a different system than other library materials. To view what you have reserved, see question below.

Can I view/cancel my reservations?
Yes! Click here to go to the reservation page. Then, click on the Login icon in the upper righthand corner. Enter your library card number and PIN. You will be able to view your reservations and cancel them on this page. (Note: Please contact the Library to cancel a printable pass.)

What happens if I don’t pick up a pass I reserved?
Failing to pick up a reserved pass will affect your ability to reserve more passes in the future. If a pass is not picked up by the end of the day of reservation, the reservation will be removed and marked as “not picked up.”  Because demand for passes is high, a second “not picked up” will result in new reservations being blocked for 30 days.  Please remember to cancel your reservation if your plans change so that someone else may use the pass.
