The library is pleased to be able to offer FREE mobile hotspots for checkout. Our hotspots use T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network and will work anywhere there is T-Mobile cellular coverage. All you need to use the hotspots are a wifi-enabled computer or device (e.g. smartphone, tablet, etc.) and be in an area covered by the T-Mobile cellular network (not roaming).
- Hotspots have unlimited data usage.
- Up to 10 devices can connect at a time (keep in mind that the more devices connected, the slower the download speed).
- On average, download speeds are 6 to 8 megabits per second, which is sufficient to watch most streaming videos.
- Battery life is up to 10 hours of continuous use on a fully charged battery.

Borrow a library Roku Express streaming stick to watch Apple TV, Acorn TV, Disney+, Hulu, Max, Peacock, or Prime Video, as well as your favorite TV shows and movies. Rokus can be checked out for two weeks, but with no renewals. To use a Roku at home, all you need is a TV with HDMI input and WiFi.
Guidelines:
- Only one (1) hotspot or Roku at a time can be checked out on an adult Bucks County Free Library card in good standing (no outstanding loans, fines, or fees).
- Hotspots can be borrowed for 7 days. Rokus can be borrowed for 21 days. Automatic renewals do not apply.
- These items can be reserved only if currently available. Call our circulation desk to reserve. Items will only be held for the reminder of the day, and must be picked up at least 15 minutes prior to the library closing.
- These items are only available for pick up and return at the Circulation Desk in our library. All provided equipment and the case must be returned with the item.
- If these items are returned to other libraries or in the outside return box, the library card account will be assessed a $5.00 fee.
- Overdue fine is $5.00/day for a maximum of $25.00.
- Patrons will be charged for any purchases made via the Roku.
- Replacement costs for lost or damaged equipment:
- Roku = $100; Roku remote control = $25; Roku power adaptor = $20; Roku case = $15
- Hotspot = $80; hotspot power adapter = $20; hotspot case = $15.
